FAQs
Placing an order
First, complete our quick online consultation. If you're suitable, we'll recommend some treatments for you to choose from.
After selecting your preferred treatment from these options and checking out, one of our clinicians will review your order to confirm the treatment is safe for you.
Once they've approved your prescription, we'll deliver it quickly and discreetly to your door.
You don't need an existing prescription to order with MedExpress. Our clinicians will issue a prescription if they agree that the treatment you want is suitable for you.
Our quick and easy digital consultation is designed to make sure our clinicians have all the information they need to make a decision, and to save you time visiting a pharmacy or family doctor in person.
You can pay using Apple Pay, Google Pay, and all major credit and debit cards (including American Express, Visa, and Mastercard).
We charge an online visit fee alongside the treatment costs. It covers:
- a review of your consultation from one of our licensed Canadian clinicians to make sure the treatment is safe and effective for you
- issuing your prescription
- ongoing support and guidance from our customer support and clinical teams throughout your treatment
At this time, MedExpress does not offer insurance coverage or rebates on prescription medications. We’re reviewing future options, but currently prescription medications are paid by the patient.
When you pay by credit or debit card, payments will be shown on your statement under the name MedExpress.
One of our licensed clinicians will review your consultation to make sure the treatment is suitable and safe for you. This also gives them a chance to ask you for any extra information they might need to make a decision. Once a prescription is issued, we'll deliver your medication directly to you.
Our clinicians normally review orders within 24 hours. It may take longer if they need more information from you before they can safely issue a prescription.
No, at MedExpress you can reorder your treatment as you need it. There's no ongoing contract or hidden fees, and you're always in control.
Yes. We work with a registered Canadian pharmacy to dispense your medication, and all treatments are authorized for use in Canada.
If you use MedExpress, we'll give you the option to tell us your primary care provider details and give us consent to share information about your treatment. This is entirely optional. However, it is recommended to keep your doctor informed of any medication you're taking.
You can remove your primary care provider details and withdraw consent at any time by contacting our customer support team.
Our online consultation will give you an indication of treatments you're likely to be eligible for. Once you've placed your order, our prescribers review your details to confirm the treatment is safe for you.
If they decide that the treatment you've ordered isn't suitable, we'll automatically process a full refund for the medication to your original payment method.

Our partner pharmacy aims to ship within 1 to 3 working days across Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and Saskatchewan. Some treatments, such as weight loss medication, may require additional safety checks prior to authorization. The delivery time only begins once your treatment has been authorized and dispatched, not from the time you place your order.
The shipping options may vary between provinces and is managed by our partner pharmacy. To simplify this for you, shipping is free for all of our customers.
To dispatch your order, our clinicians first need to approve and issue a prescription. If done by 3pm EST Monday to Thursday, we can dispatch your medication on the same day. Anything approved after that will be dispatched the following Monday.

Erectile dysfunction treatments
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a condition where a lack of blood flow or nerve stimulation affects you getting and maintaining erections. It can be caused by a range of physical and psychological conditions like stress, anxiety, or depression. ED could also be the first sign of other health conditions too, like cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
If you experience erectile dysfunction, certain types of medication may help you achieve a stronger, longer-lasting erection.
The treatments available at MedExpress are all subject to eligibility, and will only be prescribed if approved by one of our Canada-registered clinicians. To find out which treatment may be suitable for you, please complete our online consultation.
The treatments we prescribe for erectile dysfunction are approved for use in Canada. Our clinical team will only prescribe treatments that are safe and approved.
At MedExpress, the treatments we prescribe for erectile dysfunction work by increasing blood flow to the penis. This is what helps you to achieve and maintain an erection when aroused.
There are many causes of erectile dysfunction, and they can be both physical and mental. A common cause is reduced blood flow to the penis due to narrowed blood vessels. These narrowings can be caused by high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol levels, or smoking. Other potential causes include hypertension, diabetes, kidney disease, cycling for long periods of time, and certain medications.
Some people may experience side effects when taking erectile dysfunction medication. These side effects may vary depending on the type of medication and the dosage strength.
The most common side effects include:
- Headache
- Facial flushing
- Indigestion
- Muscle aches and pains
For a full list of potential side effects, please speak to your clinician or refer to your patient medication information (PMI) leaflet.
Most side effects are likely to lessen over a few weeks, with continued use. However, if you’re experiencing uncomfortable treatment side effects, speak to your prescriber. They may be able to adjust your dose or switch your medication.
Store the medication at room temperature and in its original packaging. It should be stored away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight.
It can be difficult to know which treatment is right for you. But with MedExpress, you won’t make that decision alone.
During your digital consultation, we’ll ask you questions about your health and medical history. Our experienced Clinical team will then review your answers and, if you're eligible, you'll receive a treatment recommendation and advice on next steps.
If you have any questions during the consultation process, we’re here to help.
Erectile dysfunction can be a complex condition to manage, because its causes may not just be physical: they may be psychological, too. That’s why having the right support in place matters.
